The Xstrahl 200 system is a universal double-acting X-ray therapy system that combines the capabilities of surface and orthovoltage therapy for the treatment of oncological diseases at the palliative stage, as well as for the treatment of non-oncological skin diseases. It is precisely such a device that we installed in the "Clinical Polyclinic No. 1" in Krasnodar, this clinic provides a full range of medical care to patients with malignant neoplasms.
While the equipment was being manufactured by the order of the clinic, we drew up several projects for the successful implementation of equipment installation:
- Indoor equipment placement project
- Rigging project, loading, delivery, unloading
- Project by agreement on the connection of communications
To implement the project, licenses are required to repair medical equipment, as well as to work with sources of ionizing radiation.
The device was delivered by the transport company of our partner, in sturdy packaging with all documents and a complete set of the order. Upon receipt, be sure to check:
- Delivery and delivery documentation
- Verify all names and nameplates, addresses, year of issue and batch number with the project documentation, everything must match
- The numbers and technical parameters of the unit must be as in the contract
- Check the documentation included in the kit
After the check, the chief physician, senior physicist, senior nurse, chief laboratory assistant met with the hospital staff. Nice people who love their job. We agreed on the operating time and installation of the system, conducted an inspection of the premises. Everything was in order, so we can start installing the equipment. The system was ordered with a ceiling mount on the rails, the installation of the rails began, and the technical act of the room was consulted.
After the installation of the system, it is imperative to carry out a dosimetric control of radiation doses in order to assess the effect of exposure to ionizing radiation. After the check, the room was cleaned and prepared for software configuration and staff training.
The set with the equipment did not include a PC and a printer (optional), they were bought locally. The licensed software was installed, the keys and access were given to the responsible persons and the personnel began to train to work with the system. The training took 2 days.
The result:
- Successful installation of a ceiling mount X-ray therapy system
- Satisfied clinic staff with new modern equipment
- The patients of the clinic can now undergo painless procedures for their health
- New pleasant acquaintances with the clinic staff
