Description

Chromatographic sorbent Bio-Beads SM-2 is non-polar macroporous polymer particles for use in hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC).

Bio-Beads SM-2 hydrophobic resin is used for:

removing detergents such as Triton X-100;
removing organics such as polyaromatic hydrocarbons from water;
purification of medicinal substances from plasma and urea;
purification of metabolites and pesticides;
release of dyes and mycotoxins from food.

It is possible to use the Bio-Beads ™ SM-2 hydrophobic sorbent in an aqueous solution of solvents, including alcohols, petroleum ether, diethyl ether and hexane.
