It is a combination of liquid chromatography-mass spectrometer, ion trap and time-of-flight mass spectrometer.
Features:
- High resolution (R> 10000), sensitivity (5 ppm), accuracy, performance in all operating modes (MS, MS / MS and MS / MS / MS) thanks to a two-stage reflectron (DSR) and ballistic ion extraction (BIE);
- a new system for focusing and fragmentation of ions in an ion trap: compression injection of ions into an ion optics system ensures high efficiency of ion injection into the ion trap and high sensitivity in MSn modes;
- the possibility of conducting studies with fragmentation in the MCn-mode at n = 10 (the sensitivity for reserpine in the MC2-mode is 5 picograms with a signal-to-noise ratio of 50: 1);
- ionization at atmospheric pressure;
- the highest scanning speed among all hybrid mass spectrometers for structural analysis, which allows you to work with unknown samples;
- three-stage differential evacuation pumping system provides highly sensitive measurements due to optimal pressure at each stage of mass spectrometry;
- temperature control of the flight tube to achieve high sensitivity and stability of masses in all MC and MCn-modes, using the technology of "cooling" ions in a quadrupole ion trap (QIT);
- ionization method - built-in electrospray (ESI).
