The convenience of the instrument is that the control of lighting, temperature, stirring, pH and liquid or gas dosing is computerized and collects data via a USB stick. Its Quickfit couplings allow the IKA chiller to be used with a reactor system. When using a temperature sensor or pH sensor, a minimum working volume of 6 liters is required. There is a control unit to control all software settings. It is possible to add nutrients necessary for the life of the microorganism using two peristaltic pumps.
The equipment has 2 LED panels built in, but it is possible to connect up to 4 pieces. The equipment cover is customizable by each owner. It is made of Ultem autoclavable thermoplastic and has been tested for durability. Through its holes, sensors for measuring pH or PT-100 temperature sensors are connected using the appropriate connector (6, 8 and 12 mm, 1/2 "NPT thread).
The stirrer rotation range is 10 - 100 rpm. Its mechanism is covered with PTFE plastic, the propeller elements are considered universal, because they can be adjusted in height and create different wave motion, while focusing on the type of microorganisms.
